He is Risen - Our Living Hope

“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.” — Matthew 28:6

Early on that first day of the week, the silence of the tomb was shattered by the greatest news the world has ever known: Jesus Christ is alive. What seemed like the end on the cross became the beginning of eternal hope through the resurrection.

The resurrection is not merely a comforting idea or a symbolic message—it is a historical, world-altering reality. When Jesus rose from the dead, He conquered sin, defeated death, and secured salvation for all who trust in Him. The empty tomb declares that the payment for sin has been accepted and that new life is now available.

For the disciples, the resurrection changed everything. Fear turned to courage. Doubt gave way to unshakable conviction. Their lives became testimonies to the truth that Jesus is Lord. And that same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in every believer today.

Because He lives, we are not bound by our past. Because He lives, we have strength for today. Because He lives, we have a sure hope for tomorrow. The resurrection assures us that suffering and death do not have the final word—Jesus does.

Whatever you are facing today, the empty tomb speaks a better word. In moments of grief, it offers comfort. In seasons of uncertainty, it gives assurance. In the struggle against sin, it provides victory. The risen Christ meets us where we are and calls us to walk in newness of life.

This is the heart of the gospel: not just that Jesus died for our sins, but that He rose again to give us life--abundant life now and eternal life forever.
