What to Expect

EXPECT A FRIENDLY CHURCH FAMILY

Riley Creek Baptist Church is made up of people from many different backgrounds and stages of life. You'll meet young families, retirees, singles, students, and children growing together in Christ. We won't single you out or embarrass you, but we do hope you'll allow us the opportunity to get to know you and answer any questions you may have.

EXPECT A PLACE FOR YOUR FAMILY

We love having children in our church. Nursery care and age-appropriate children's ministries are available during designated services, and our volunteers are committed to providing a safe, caring environment where children can learn about God and His Word.

EXPECT MUSIC SUITABLE FOR WORSHIP

Our music includes both cherished hymns and carefully chosen modern worship songs. Rather than focusing on a particular musical style, we seek songs that are biblically faithful, Christ-centered, and congregationally accessible. Our desire is that the truths we sing deepen our love for Christ and lead us to respond with heartfelt worship.

EXPECT A SERMON ROOTED FIRMLY IN THE BIBLE

We believe God's Word is what transforms lives. For that reason, our preaching seeks to explain the meaning of the biblical text, apply it to everyday life, and point us to Jesus Christ. Most often we preach through books of the Bible verse by verse so that we hear the whole counsel of God, including passages we might otherwise overlook.

EXPECT TO HEAR THE GOSPEL

The good news of Jesus Christ is at the heart of everything we do. Because every page of Scripture ultimately points to Christ, you'll hear often about His perfect life, His sacrificial death on the cross, His victorious resurrection, and the forgiveness and new life He offers to all who trust Him. Whether you've been following Christ for decades or are simply exploring the Christian faith, our desire is that every service points you to Him.

EXPECT TO COME AS YOU ARE

You'll find people dressed in everything from jeans to suits on Sunday morning. While we seek to honor God in the way we present ourselves, we care far more about meeting you than about what you're wearing.
